Today Bishop Jerry discusses Handel's Messiah is one of the greatest musical masterpieces of the Baroque Period. It lyrics are taken directly from the King James Bible and the Coverdale Psaltery. The Collect.   O  GOD , the strength of all those who put their trust in thee; Mercifully accept our prayers; and because, through the weakness of our mortal nature, we can do no good thing without thee, grant us the help of thy grace, that in keeping thy commandments we may please thee, both in will and deed; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.   We can do no good             God is absolute Light, and where there is no light, there remains only darkness – an absolute lack of light!  God is Life, and where God is absent there remains only death.
